We read the reviews that indicated how great the Raven is, but it was not quite 5 star. Service is good, while the food is interesting it is not.that memorable. Three pharohs is quite garlicy, meat was tender, but the lentils overpowered the dish, not terrible, but not perfect. Also had beef brisket, tender good taste, sauce wasquite good slightly... More

The menu in the window looked super and the team has also printed their trip adviser score - So I went in. This was one of the best meals I have ever had and the were several people talking about the lamb dish I had had the next day! A real delight to find it in such an unusual place.... More

On this trip we ate at 4 different restaurants in Banff and none came close to our experience of The Raven Bistro in Jasper. We found it so good that we went back a second night and found it as pleasurable to the palate as the night before. We can recommend the lamb, the halibut, the 3 pharoahs, and the... More

We've been going to Jasper for decades and have always wondered why the food in Jasper was never up to the standards of Banff. Sure you can spend a fortune at the JPL, but who wants to do that? On our latest trip to Jasper we read on TA about the Raven Bistro. It looked like 9 out of 10... More

This is a very small restaurant, so come early to get a table. Service was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Good menu featuring plenty of items from all categories..vegetarian, meat, seafood and pasta. Large selection of salads and appetizers. Calamari was excellent. We had the "Three Pharoahs" and the "Coconut Seafood pot". Both were excellent. Perfectly cooked meat... More

The Raven is a definite must in my opinion, went there this evening having not long got off The Canadian. The menu is on first glance ordinary but looking closer has a nice twist. I had the calamari to start, the best I can remember tasting, beautifully presented, with the add hint of jalapeño and an excellent tartar sauce, stunning,... More

We had a very mediocre meal in Raven having returned on the second night to get in. Aside from the food being absolutely no more than middle of the road we felt that the rave reviews had gone to their head . their booking system is appalling , they take your name and tell you to come back in an... The waiter made us feel very welcomed after coming from a hike. There were a great selection of drinks. We both had an salad and first course. There was a wonderful selection of fish/vegetarian food as well as steaks and meat dishes. Everything was very fresh with interesting twists. The waiter even brought out a cook book "Plenty"" that one... More

My husband and I stopped here after a long day of hiking. We made sure we were welcome in our hiking clothes (we were) since this place (and the prices) looked a little upscale. After reading TA reviews and looking at the menu....the anticipation for a wonderful meal was high. When the waiter asked the lady at the next table... More
